Madan no Ou to Vanadis | Amazing Intro, Average Anime
I am pretty sure I’ve mentioned this in other blogs that I have done, but for me personally, what I believe makes an Anime is the intro. Reason being, it’s literally one of the first things you see in the first episode. Madan no Ou to Vanadis, is an Anime that had such a powerful opening, a beautiful opening, something I thought was a masterpiece of an opening. But fell short because the Anime was average, just your normal Harem Anime – which I thought was really disappointing.
Today, will not be another review where I talk in-depth about the Anime, touching the 4 categories that I think make an Anime, story; characters; soundtrack, and art design. No sir or ma’am! At most, I think this Anime is worthy of a rating of 7, that being said, I still think you should give it a try.
What’s so good about the intro?
Good question, something I will be answering in this blog post. What I thought was extremely cool was that the introduction sounded like it was sung and/or conducted by an orchestra, it was wonderful to listen to. The singer Konomi Suzuki, who had sung really outstanding songs like “Redo” from Re:Zero, and my personal favourite “This Game” from No Game No Life. I believe that her singing “Ginsen No Kaze” which is the song title to the opening of Madan no Ou Vanadis, really outdid herself. I really thought this was one of her best works of art, it showed the power of her voice and the control she has over it – definitely was nice to listen to.
It is a shame though that such a beautiful opening was wasted on an average Anime. This case is similar to the Anime Valvrave the Liberator, an amazing opening wasted on yet another average Anime. It’s safe to say if it weren’t for these powerful openings in both Valvrave the Liberator and Madan no Ou to Vanadis, the Animes would have flopped hard.
Leave it to the good intros to save not so great Anime.. Cheers to the Madan no Ou to Vanadis opening, down below you will find the full opening to the Anime, feel free to give it a listen :3
