Winter 2012 – My Favourites | #Anime Tops

Woo! I really like doing these lists because I’m able to show off my favourite Anime for that particular season. It’s also one of the easiest blogs posts I can do as well, which allows me time to work on other things :3

I’d also like to mention again that these lists are based on my own opinion. These are the Anime that interested me and are in no particular order.

So without further adieu, let’s get to it!

Anime: Ano Natsu de Matteru
Genre: ComedyDramaRomanceSci-FiSlice of Life
Episodes: 12

Yes, Ano Natsu de Matteru is at the top of this list. Now before you all get mad, the reason why it’s at the top because it was my favourite Anime for this season; Winter 2012. One thing that I always believed to be true was that the studio J.C.Staff know how to create a story, something that’ll catch your attention, keep you entertained and leave you wanting more. Also, I am a sucker for Romance something this Anime had — which pulled at my heart strings. Ano Natsu de Matteru, like Anohana, is that one Anime I love so much but cannot watch because the ending makes me so sad.

MyAnimeList Synopsis
While testing out his camera on a bridge one summer night, Kaito Kirishima sees a blue light streaking across the sky, only to be blown off the railing seconds later. Just before succumbing to unconsciousness, a hand reaches down to grab ahold of his own. Dazed and confused, Kaito wakes up the next morning wondering how he ended up back in his own room with no apparent injuries or any recollection of the night before. As he proceeds with his normal school life, Kaito and his friends discuss what to do with his camera, finally deciding to make a film with it over their upcoming summer break. Noticing that Kaito has an interest in the new upperclassmen Ichika Takatsuki, his friend Tetsurou Ishigaki decides to invite her, as well as her friend Remon Yamano, to join them in their movie project.

In what becomes one of the most entertaining and exciting summers of their lives, Kaito and his friends find that their time spent together is not just about creating a film, but something much more meaningful that will force them to confront their true feelings and each other.

Anime: Another
Genre: MysteryHorrorSupernaturalThrillerSchool
Episodes: 12

Next on the list we have the Anime, Another. I am not one to watch Horror Anime because I get scared easily so watching them is a very hard thing to do for me. However, this Anime I enjoyed for some reason. I liked the mix between the mystery and horror aspects present in the Anime, it really made for a really interesting story, to say the least.

MyAnimeList Synopsis

He also finds himself drawn to the mysterious, eyepatch-wearing student Mei Misaki; however, the rest of the class and the teachers seem to treat her like she doesn’t exist. Paying no heed to warnings from everyone including Mei herself, Kouichi begins to get closer not only to her, but also to the truth behind the gruesome phenomenon plaguing class 3-3 of Yomiyama North.

Anime: Nisemonogatari
Genre: MysteryComedySupernaturalEcchi
Episodes: 11

Finally, we have the Anime Msemonogatari. The studio Shaft has always been amazing when it came to creating adaptions and/or original storylines. I consider them to be one of the best in that respect. I always enjoy anything from the Monogatari Series, Nisemonogatari is not exception.
