Senpai ga Uzai Kouhai no Hanashi | Episode Six: My Favourite episode.

By far, episode six was my favourite episode of the bunch. What made it extremely entertaining for me was that we had two headstrong and highly competitive characters (Takeda and Igarashi’s Ojii-chan) go at each other whenever they have the chance. It was extremely fun to watch. It also helped that they are similar in every way possible, height, build, pure ability, and masculinity. Fighting for dominance because why the heck not? You can fish? I can fish too. You can collect garbage, I can do the same! You can hit home runs? Well so can I! This unusual rivalry was something so entertaining that I would like to see another episode where it’s just Takeda and Igarashi’s grandfather competing against each other just because.
Also, I loved how they did a cheeky reference to Kimi no Na wa, which so happens to be my favourite anime movie. Anime that have references from other anime are things I love. In a way, it makes it seem as though everything in the world of anime is connected one way or another. In my opinion, it makes it seem as though we’re in a multiverse where we have different timelines and dimensions all going on at the same time, all of which are connected in one way or another. It makes everything feel very MCU-esk, and you know what? That’s fine by me.
Overall episode six was the best episode of the series, for me. Takeda and Igarashi’s Ojii-chan are very similar in many ways (as previously mentioned) and they also care a lot about Igarashi which is the main thing. Seeing them trying to assert dominance over each other was great, furthermore, watching them basically fight over Igarashi in the most genuine way possible was also something I liked. I understand that Senpai ga Uzai Kouhai no Hanashi is trying to lead us down a path where Igarashi works up the courage to confess to Takeda how she feels, but I personally think that it shouldn’t happen. However, Igarashi’s shy and embarrassed nature towards Takeda gave us this funny episode between her grandfather and Takeda.
I wish every episode would be like episode six. Episode six is definitely my favourite episode and will probably be the best episode of the series. 8/10.
