Out of all the episodes I’ve seen, I think that the ninth and tenth episode of Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu. were its best episodes.
I think that has to do with the various ‘arcs’ that were covered throughout each episode. It just made everything very enjoyable, it was like they decided to combine a lot of the more entertaining chapters of the manga into these two episodes to make them worth watching. There were several chapters that I enjoyed watching, for example, the chapter with the reference to Brother’s Smash. I personally really enjoyed that one because it reminded me of all the times I used to go over to my friend’s house in my younger years just to play Brother’s Smash Brawl all day, every day. So to see something I had fond memories of referenced in the anime was a nice trip through memory lane. I definitely felt the nostalgia.
Another chapter that I liked was the High school sports day. Everything about that scene, in particular, was great and I thought the usage of all the characters was fantastic too. Everyone had their time to shine in that scene, not to mention that since everyone in the anime is a little quirky, it only benefited. I especially like how Komi’s cult following has started to grow on me, originally I thought it was pretty weird and kind of annoying. But as the episodes continued on, the more the cult following as grown on me. Now I can safely say, that after ten episodes, that I find Komi’s following to be very entertaining.
As someone who likes to ship characters, something I do like is that we’re gradually building up the relationship between Komi and Tadano. Normally anime similar to this one, you’d see it jumping in right away and to me, that really kills the vibe. I assume that everyone wants to feel gitty if you know what I mean. Seeing our characters experience those little moments is what makes it worthwhile and episodes nine and ten had a lot of that. I think it’s safe to say that I enjoyed both episodes.
