Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku | Episode One: How to stand out 101.

Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku has also been an anime that I’ve had my eyes on too (currently writing about episode one after watching and writing about the first episode of Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru). The biggest reason I had my eyes on this anime, in particular, was because something about the art style appealed to me. After finishing the first episode, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the character design appealed to me the most. It’s something different. The smaller head with the big eyes goes well together, especially in this style because once the eyes light up with passion, you cannot help but think, “wow.”

Something else that I enjoyed about the first episode was that everything about the anime feels warm and inviting. Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku has got to be one of the more esthetically pleasing anime I’ve seen in a while. You could feel the excitement of Akebi, to not only attend and experience a new school setting but to wear a sailor uniform. I’m not sure why Akebi was so fixated on the sailor uniform. Maybe it’s an outfit that she’s adored for a long time and has always wanted the opportunity to wear one.

But anyway, Akebi as a character will definitely be someone I’ll enjoy watching. She radiates happiness and compassion. Since her mom was the one who made her uniform, Akebi took it upon herself to do all the house chores so that her mom wouldn’t be overburdened while making Akebi’s uniform. Then we have Akebi’s little sister, the cutest but also a very supportive character.

As you’ve probably guessed from the title, “Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku | Episode One: How to stand out 101.” There must have been something that happened that would be cause for Kebi to stand out. Being the only person to wear a custom uniform that is in every way different from everyone else’s is one way to stand out, especially if you want to make friends. In that aspect, the whole “I want to make a ton of friends” is similar to Komi-san cannot communicate. The difference is, Akebi seems to be someone who will be a lot more straightforward and more personable. Akebi has already shown that she isn’t afraid of approaching people she doesn’t know, so I’m not worried in the slightest.

My hope is that Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku turns out to be one of those feel-good anime. So we’ll see what happens.
