Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu. 2nd Season | Episodes 4 and 5: Great episodes.

Episodes four and five of Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu. 2nd Season were great episodes. I think they’re the best ones to date, allow me to share my thoughts.

My biggest issue I’ve always had with Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu has been that the episodes have a little too chaotic and a little too episodic. I thought that episodes four and five rectified this issue. Especially the episodic aspect of things for sure. The chapters that were adapted felt longer than usual and on the top of that, they felt connected in more ways than one. Which is something I didn’t think would happen, but it has and it’s been something I’ve enjoyed.
The holiday season has always been a season I’ve enjoyed in anime because they always manage to make it feel that little bit special and more memorable. Which was the case for both episodes four and five. For me, I thought episodes four and five were episodes where our characters made Komi-san feel appreciated and loved. That was definitely the vibe it gave off.
Like each character made an effort to show their appreciation. Episodes four and five were the episodes where I thought Komi-san showed the most emotion and a willingness to ‘communicate’ to others even if it still freaks her out a little. In the back of my mind, I always knew that we’d eventually see Komi-san become more comfortable around others, and I thought that episodes four and five were the best episodes for that. For the first time, I thought that Komi-san felt like a normal teen and that was something I really enjoyed watching.
As you could probably tell, the biggest take away from these two episode was how far Komi-san has come as a character. I thought episodes four and five were the most complete in that regard because it showed how far she has come, but also showing how there is also still more to come from her and the gang. A+ from me.
