Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu. 2nd Season | Episode Six: A Bond that’s growing.

Everyone loves a bond that continues to grow and develop, episode six of Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu. 2nd Season showed us just how far we’ve come with our characters.

Relationships that continue to grow have always been things I’ve enjoyed watching. This should come as no surprise because I love anything and everything related to romance, especially ones where the connection between two characters feel genuine and isn’t something that comes off forced or cringe. Episode six of Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu. 2nd Season puts on display the growing bond between Komi-san and Tadano-kun and it’s getting pretty cute if you ask me.
Another thing that I enjoyed about the sixth episode of the series was that the pacing of the episode hasn’t been as fast as all the other episodes that came before it. I think the reason why episode six was slower in pace to the previous episodes was because they again, wanted to show off the progress made by our two protagonists in their friendship.
Something I’ve noticed recently, is that around the halfway mark for romcoms, or anything that involves a high school setting is that this is normally around the time when feelings are realized and it’s also when they (the characters) start to become more appreciative of one another. As I mentioned in my Shikimori-san blog, you start to pick out or look for the smaller details of the anime. Which is what I’ve done here, but for obvious reasons, anime like Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu. 2nd Season want to make it as easy as possible. So that the viewer knows the general direction that we’ll be heading down.
Now do I expect for this friendship between Tadano-kun and Komi-san to suddenly explode and takeover the anime? No. If we were to consider the pace of which the anime is moving it’ll be a longtime before we see that happening, but something I will be expecting from this point on is the story starting to put more focus on building this relationship up.
Overall, I like episode six quite a bit. It’s slower pace allowed us (the viewer), to see just how much this bond between Komi-san and Tadano-kun has grown and developed. It has definitely turned out better than expected.
