Fuufu Ijou, Koibito Miman. | I’ve definitely seen something like this before.

This is like a more extreme version of Nisekoi. Two individuals who are polar opposites of one another forced to be a couple for a cause that’ll benefit the two of them. Instead of it being to ensure peace amongst gangs, it’s to ensure that they graduate. Fuufu Ijou, Koibito Miman. seems to be an anime that will turn out to be pretty straight forward.

I mean, we’ve all seen this kind of plot before. To totally opposite people forced to spend time with each other. Which eventually leads to them developing feelings for one another. Throw in that little bit of spice, in the form of love triangles and/or feelings for other people besides your ‘partner’, then you’ve got yourself Fuufu Ijou, Koibito Miman.

That being said though, I’ll give this anime a watch. If there is one thing I like, it’s a cheesy love story. Although this story is something I’ve seen before. Something I’ve always been a fan of is watching the feelings amongst our characters grow, mature and fight of adversity. It could prove to be something pretty entertaining, though by the looks of it, Fuufu Ijou, Koibito Miman. could also be one of those anime that rely heavily on the ecchi side of things, which is something I’m not excited for.

Do I believe that this ‘adversity’ will be something that will have major influence on the anime? No I do not think so. I think with regards to these types of stories, there is only one way. There is only one route and we all know what route that will be. Will it be the outcome that we’ll ultimately desire? Probably. However, I think that is dependent on how our characters grow. If it’s some lame duck sort of deal, there will be little enjoyment. Good thing it’s only the first episode.

Anyway, I thought the first episode was pretty neat in a way. For starters, the anime is extremely colourful and pleasing to the eye. I enjoyed watching it. I also enjoyed the fact that we jumped right into the thick of things. There was no real buildup (which I’ve come to expect for anime being only twelve episodes long). I especially love how the characters look. Character design looks clean, everything about them, from how they dress, how they look when they are showing emotion. It all just looks really neat and that’s something I appreciate.

Overall, I am cautiously optimistic.
