Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka? | Just a fun Anime

Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka?, is in my opinion, a really fun Anime. This is Anime is actually one of my favourites. For reasons unknown to me, something about this Anime really appealed to me – it was just a really fun Anime.

Before we get started, let’s lay some groundwork. Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka? has two seasons. Airing in the spring of 2014 and the fall of 2015, the Anime has a total of 24 episodes and has an average rating of 7.79.

Genres that the Anime is labeled as are: Slice of Life and Comedy (Yep we doing these genres again).

Story: 7/10
There’s nothing much to say about the story in this case since there wasn’t much plot (like all slice of life Anime). But that’s not the point of these types of shows. This anime was meant to provide entertainment through supplying joy and bringing moe to its own notable level. The story mainly focuses on four girls who work at a cafe, and how they go about living their lives with friends who work at other places.

Whenever you watch a slice of Life Anime, it usually has the same plot which is, all the characters going around and having fun together. Which is what this Anime achieves and is what the storyline mainly consists of. Slice of Life and Comedy always make for a good combination, one that I can watch all day every day.

Art: 8/10
The art was really impressive and the character designs were really cute, and captivating. The art is probably the best part of the show since it really brings out to the gentleness of the setting and cuteness of the characters. The characters are colorful and diverse in appearance and made them all attractive in their own way too. In my opinion, the art of the Anime drastically improves during the second season when compared to the first.

Sound: 8/10
The thing I like about the sound the most was probably the voices. In some of these cute animes out there, all the characters almost sound exactly the same, but that was not the case here. I think each character had a distinctive enough voice so that even if I were to not see the character’s faces, I could tell who was talking. Also, the character’s voices were not as annoying and ear-piercing as some other more slice of life/comedies out there.

I also really loved the OP and the EDs which may differ from who you ask really. Both the OP and ED had me moving in my seat to the beat, I really enjoyed listening to them. The background music also contributed to each of their respective scenes too.

Character: 7/10
Along with their colourful appearances, each of the main characters also had colourful personalities. Although there was not much in terms of character development, the characters act out on their own interesting personalities which is enough to bring most people to a smile. However, there is some character development with some of the characters as they start to open up more and be more honest with themselves, but that typically isn’t what most people pay attention to. The characters also feel like random comedic characters that were thrown together into one show, it was quite the opposite, each character I felt benefited one another.

Conclusion
This Anime to me is fun and cute, both of which make a wonderful combination. Who doesn’t love a fun Anime, who doesn’t love a cute Anime? I mean there could be cringing cute, but this Anime isn’t a cringe cute, but a fun cute if you know what I mean.

Overall, I thought this was a really fun Anime, really enjoyed it. It is also a great time killer if need be, it definitely will not disappoint!
